Paddlers joining kayaking trips organised by individual OSKA members should be aware that they are responsible for their own safety. Neither OSKA nor the individual organisers accept responsibility for other paddlers or for instructing them as part of the trip.

Duplication of effort here I think.

Encouraged by Kristian, Orkney Sailing Club is planning a VHF operators course in April, if there is enough interest. This is open to OSKA and KKC members. Cost is around £100.
