Paddlers joining kayaking trips organised by individual OSKA members should be aware that they are responsible for their own safety. Neither OSKA nor the individual organisers accept responsibility for other paddlers or for instructing them as part of the trip.

Joining the dots

Jackie and I joined the dots from Finstown to Tingwall - not the most exciting paddle in Orkney by any means but it was a stretch neither of us had done before. We cut across the bays from point to point as we couldn't see anything to warrant a detour.
Interestingly most of this journey is actually heading east, a fact which I'd not appreciated before the trip.
Sunny but cool with a NE breeze. Snow on the hills to make it a bit more interesting. 2h 30m and 8nm.
